Clinical Intern
Bailey Southard
Interns are highly supervised, including weekly supervision meetings with Jennifer Sutton.
Bailey Southard (she/her) is a counseling intern at Chronic Hope Counseling with a heart for walking alongside people living with chronic pain. Her own journey began after a car accident at age 14, giving her a deep, personal understanding of the challenges that come with navigating the healthcare system. From doctors and insurance to the daily frustrations of being dismissed or misunderstood, Bailey knows how overwhelming it can feel, and she believes counseling should never be another barrier.
Bailey is currently pursuing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania, after earning her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Meredith College. She has personally faced the dismissals, financial hardships, and medical bias that so many people with chronic pain encounter, and this fuels her passion to create a safe, supportive space for clients.
At Chronic Hope Counseling, Bailey’s goal is simple: to make sure every client feels seen, heard, and validated in their journey.
